The Myriad SQL module provides outstanding depth of reporting, which dramatically increases the quality and quantity of information available from the system.
SQL (Structured Query Language) is a standard computer language which is used to retrieve and order information from databases like that at the heart of Myriad.
Myriad contains a wealth of standard reports which are used to drive and assist the decision-making process. Where there is a need for a specific report, Myriad SQL allows a user to create their own, linking any of the data fields within Myriad.
These bespoke reports can then be used for a huge range of purposes, particuarly to discover sales trends, cross-selling opportunities, responses to promotional activity and patterns of stock movement. Here are some examples:
1) Generate a list of customers who only buy items that are on promotion
2) Find all customers who celebrate their bithday during the last week of September
3) Discover the rate of voucher redemptions during promotion periods
4) See which suppliers deliver within their promised lead time range, and those that don't
The data created by the SQL module can be outputted in a number of different file formats, so that it can be analysed in other software applications, or used to print labels etc.
Writing SQL queries requires a good deal of user knowledge - that is why we usually write most report queries for our customers. These reports are then saved away and run when needed.
"Myriad SQL is incredibly powerful; there appears to be no limits to the options for bespoke data retrieval."
