Myriad Host is a centralised application for handling incoming data from the stores, and also for the distribution of relevant outgoing data to the stores.

Myriad Remote is the gateway from stores to head office; initiating the connection and controlling the transmission of data between the two sites.

Depending on the environment and the requirements of the business, the communication process can be configured to perform at variable intervals.

The Host module can be initiated at any time, and if required can be set to run constantly to process information.

Likewise, the remote module can be configured to initiate a communication process immediately after the previous one. In this case, virtually Real Time Processing can be achieved. This gives the benefits of a centralised system without the risk of server or communication failure.

The communication process can be performed over dial-up, ISDN or ADSL connection. The ADSL option provides maximum data transfer and thus is the most efficient. The compact nature of the files transmitted means that even dial-up connections will provide fast and effective communication between all sites.
